Helium and Helium Marketplace

Helium is a writer's site with a difference.

Writers can publish articles without prior approval. Write, spell-check, and publish, just like a blog, in fact. Once your article is up, you will be invited to rate other articles in the same channel(s) that you have written to. The cream thus floats up, and the dross sinks to the bottom.

Once you have rated 10 articles, your articles will start earning money. True, it is pay-per-click, so you need to find some non-spamming ways of promoting them. Helium likes to encourage good SEO, so that your articles make it into the search engines. Moral? Write about things that people need information on.

Helium also offers a Marketplace where partner publishers request articles on particular topics. You write the article, submit it, and if it chosen by the publisher, you get paid the offered amount. If it is not chosen, it transitions to the main Helium pages and you start earning every time someone reads it.

There are also Writing Contests but these require a lot of time for little reward, in my opinion.

Helium pays out once you have reached $25, and it pays into your Paypal account, so you must have one of these set up.

Helium is constantly coming up with new and innovative ideas to help you earn more money from your internet writing.

As a writing site, I give them A+

(On Helium, I write under the name Janet Pieterse, if you wish to verify that I use the site and know what I am talking about! I'm not looking to link you to my articles here, not at the moment anyway. Please feel free to search for my name if you are interested.)
